HPI Radio Control

Since 1986 Hobby Products International (HPI) have been producing HPI radio control kit cars.

One of the most popular types of HPI radio control car kits is the 4WD truck, which can operate just about anywhere, taking bumps, dips, and jumps with ease. With its big rubber tires and long shock absorbers, these 4WD trucks can run on grass, dirt, the street (not recommended) and almost any other type of surface. They are sold in both electric power and Nitro-power ("gas" engine) versions and the HPI Nitro power trucks are also available in ready-to-run (RTR) versions, means you don't have to build anything and can be running in and using your truck within about 30 minutes of opening the box - although you may need a few extra items to complete the kit.

HPI radio control car and truck kits also have optional bodies that can be changed whenever you want to, meaning that you can have a street car today, but tomorrow you could have a street truck, or a sedan, sports car, or just about any other style of truck or car you wish.

Another very popular HPI radio control car is the "Nitro RS4" series. They have a real fuel-burning engine, four wheel drive and rubber street tires and working shock absorbers! These HPI kits are ideal for helping children learn about full size cars, and also help develop other rc hobby techniques like communication skills and teamwork when built with friends and family. The "RTR" version of the Nitro RS4 is ready-to-run out of the box, while the Nitro RS4 2 is a kit so you can have the challenge and satisfaction of building the radio control car yourself.

The "Super" Nitro RS4 kits. are bigger versions of the Nitro RS4 kits. They have all the same features as the standard-size HPI Nitro RS4 cars, but are the tires, wheels, bodies, in fact everything is aboout 20% bigger. These larger racing machines are actually easier to drive.

The ultimate HPI radio control kits are the RS4 Pro 3 and Proceed cars. They are totally adjustable for all racing conditions and very tough to take all the knocks. They are designed for the racing driver who wants one of the best kits currently available.
